Conor Ó Mearáin graduated from University of Wales, Newport in 2007 with a degree in documentary photography, having first completed a foundation course in Sallynoggin C.F.E.
He was awarded the Salisbury bursary, to help him complete “Untold”, a series of portrait of women, all republican activists, who were imprisoned during the “Troubles” in Northern Ireland. This work was exhibited at a number of locations including the Glencree Peace and Reconciliation Centre and The Féile Feirste, in Belfast. Conor also won the LDC “This Working Life” student award while at Newport, and this exhibition toured the UK.
Conor currently works as a freelance Press & PR photographer, in Dublin.
